My family has been following this quite closely, and you are right to get it out there to your readers.

That’s one brave woman. Horrendous to think that her husband did this to her and worse that so many men took advantage of her.

Wow so sad. Glad the public is behind her.

Thank you for sharing, I had not heard of this case. Gisele is inspiring absolutely, impossible to imagine her ordeal.

The France24 video makes an interesting point on consent and the mens’ defence. In the UK, R v Brown (1993) clarified the nature of consent so bdsm is always a precarious activity in the UK. I bring this up because Consensual-non-consent is a fringe bdsm fetish and there are online French (and elsewhere) groups dedicated to the activity.

Not meaning to derail, rather acknowledging you are right to share so people talk about it and educate themselves on what is and is not consent.

Yes- it can get very complicated when we discuss consent. Thank you for your thoughts, and for reading!

So many things have already been said about her, and her astonishing courage, rarely have I seen someone embodying the ideas of grandeur and bravery like Gisèle does (it’s hard to add her married woman surname here). Incredible human being.
