Hi everyone!
This week, I passed the one-year mark of For Love of France.
Thanks to all of you for subscribing and supporting my writing and the stories I tell from France. I hope to continue bringing you interesting gems from Paris and beyond in the year ahead!
You can continue your support by sharing my website with friends and family who are interested in France: jennbragg.substack.com or clicking the button below:
The world is a crazy place right now.
I’ve had a lot of conversations lately about my preference to be in France rather than the US. Of course, it’s often brought to my attention that France has problems, too. Yes, that’s true, and today it’s more important than ever that I understand French culture and politics by being there, and also by tuning into the media. Not only does listening to French news help with my language skills, it also helps me understand world events from a French perspective.
Anyway, thanks again to all of you, and I’ll be back at it next week!
Bisous,
Jenn
Hi Sara 👋
Yes, there are so many things about Paris that isn’t part of our culture in the US - including the public transport. I also love the culture around recycling and sustainability - it’s a bell I can’t unring! Profites bien the rest of your summer!
It’s been very enjoyable to follow you for the last year! Looking at Paris and France through your eyes has been fun, informative and often makes me want to go to Paris, it’s been a while. I am in the heart of Beaujolais, where French life was an all about the wine and countryside living, without forgetting all the French traditions and all it has to offer. My closest big city is Lyon, highly recommend a visit.
Would love to catch up some time Jenn.
